Summer, 2003.
Vail,
Colorado continues to be home. I am so fortunate to live in such a
beautiful place. And let me tell you, I am learning so much more about
life!
When I started this
site a few years back, I thought I knew a few things. I didn't know
nothing (my old english teacher would love my double negative). I continue
to be amazed at how God continues to develop in my heart a deep love for
Himself and a great compassion for my fellow humans. It almost sounds like
God is some kind of egomaniac, but this is what is so cool: when I am most
deeply in love with God, I am most loving of others! That makes no sense
at all but it is so true. Try it!
OK,
a couple good books to read:
- John Eldredge, "Wild at Heart"
- Larry Crabb, "The Pressure's
Off"
Both of these books are giving me
further insight to God that is turning my world upside down! Read them and
let me know what you think!
I had a great trip to Spain
in June. A group of us hiked part of the "Camino De Santiago" -
if you have some extra time and bucks, it is a must. Spent part of July in
Florida for a conference. Learned some great stuff on stragetic planning
that I hope to process, put into my own words and post on the site
someday.
August is here - Golf has been
awesome. I travel to Atlanta in the fall and hope to see some of my dear
friends while there. Until I write in the fall, have a great rest of the
summer.
